Monaleo New Orleans Concert reviews
First Time At The Fox - For Gary Allan
I had somehow managed to never make it to the Monaleo Show on Nov. 18, 2026, until the Fox Theatre. As someone who has visited a lot of venues for a lot of concerts in the Atlanta area, I must say it was a great venue to first review. The decor of the place was pretty neat too! We sat in the balcony and had a great view of the stage and were able to enjoy the show completely.
Jerrod Niemann opened up and had a good vibe. For now, he does a good job of getting the show started and talks well with the crowd. I don't see him as being a big main act in the near future, but the possibility is there long term.
When he was playing, the songs were fun and got your energy flowing, Randy Houser came on second. He actually reminded me of a Skynyrd style performer, and then what do you know? He goes and plays Simple Man. Houser was a good entertainer when performing, but his "talking" to the crowd got very repetitive. We joked that he looks a bit like Alan from the Hangover, which added to his appeal to us - my girlfriend and me.
To review, the first time I saw him he was an opening act, the second was in a smaller venue, and the third was an acoustic style show for only about 100 people where he talked to the crowd in between about six songs. This was my fourth time seeing Monaleo in concert. While I thought it would be hard to top the interaction of a private show, seeing Monaleo as a main act and in a larger venue was amazing! As my girlfriend stated after the show, he puts more into his show than perhaps any other country artist. While he may not be the writer of every one of his songs, you'd never know it when seeing him perform. He has a passion for each one that makes the performance great.
